An answer
Every once in awhile I feel totally isolated on this journey of self discovery. It's not a "i want a boyfriend" lonliness just one in which I know that I am not the most important person in someone's life. And I don't always want to be. But sometimes it's nice to feel needed in a way you don't get going it solo. So this morning I sent a "prayer" to the universe to help me feel less alone and less isolated. When I am looking for an answer I turn to the unexpected. In this case I decided to go to church with my cousin. Now she goes every week and I don't consider myself a religious person. I consider myself spiritual. I believe that the universe has answers for us if we are willing to listen. I believe we are all connected to each other and this Earth and that we all have our own journeys and that's as religious as I'll get on here but today was powerful so I wanted to share. So here I am thinking about how I feel alone and like I am not that important to anyone and wondering if this is really what I want in life and I arrive at church surrounded by people searching for their own answers and I shit you not. Every single song was about how every struggle and every moment YOU ARE NOT ALONE. The guest speaker got up and talked about how important a persons presence is for a child (the girl I nanny) and how no matter how alone we feel there is always someone looking out for us. Now I don't know how connected I feel to a higher power and what not, but I took that as an answer from the Universe. Then I got home to find that Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles started a new campaign and are training people to become crisis support members for their team. So here we are again. The "universe" telling me that there are lots of people out there that feel alone and to just wake up and see that its not just me. There is always someone out there that needs you even if you don't know them.
